Improving Personal Safety Through Awareness

Bespoke Awareness Training days are intended to make you more aware of your own personal safety, that of your colleagues, and also to the possible dangers associated with ‘lone working’. More importantly, the training teaches, what steps you as an individual, or team, can take to reduce the threat level to yourself and others. We begin from the time a complaint arrives through to visiting clients, witnesses or perpetrators in their own homes.

Our training will forever change the way you do your job and could ultimately save your life.

We use real life footage, and highlight the lessons to be learnt from both topical and well known cases, where failings have, or could have lead to serious consequences, or even loss of life.

The workshops have been specifically designed for those, whose only real form of communication is their mobile phone.

These can include:

• Local Authority ASB Teams

• Estate and Tenancy Managers

• Environmental Health Officers

• Licensing Officers

• Registered Social Landlords

• Family Intervention Teams

• Visiting NHS/PCT Staff

• Victim Support Workers

They are also invaluable to anyone whose role involves them working within the community, dealing with the public.

Whilst ‘high profile’ or extreme cases are highlighted, the intention is not to make staff paranoid, but to remind them of the risks relevant to their role, which they may not have anticipated.

Our staff are nationally qualified and have a vast experience working in the public sector dealing with major incidents in London and through out the UK, and are experienced ‘practitioners’ rather than theorists.

Our Principal Instructor Kevin Bird has over 30 years experience working in the public sector, dealing with highly volatile situations and training others in this field.

He specialises in the subject of reactive protection training, and is quickly building an exceptional reputation as a ‘hands on’ practical trainer for police, local authorities, housing teams and their partner agencies.

His training days combine essential practical advice with thought provoking examples from real life incidents, and are delivered in a confident, enthusiastic, entertaining and often humourous manner.
